You may complete homework during your work study shift. However, please remember that you are also working and must be available to help students, staff, and faculty any time during your shift.
It might be difficult to be present while listening to music and at times wearing headphones can cause one to look unapproachable. It is suggested that work study students do not wear headphones during their shift.
Students may take breaks at their supervisor's discretion. That being said, just ask! If you are having a tough day and need to step away, we understand and are more than happy to cover for a few moments as you step away.
