Full text of most Association for Computing Machinery publications, plus citations to computer science journal articles.
Computing Database [PROQUEST]
Scholarly journals, trade publications, and consumer-oriented magazines on computer science.
Computer Science: Gale OneFile [GALE]
Business and technical publications in the computer, telecommunications, and electronics industries.

The database includes computer-related product introductions, news and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications, and the application of technology.
ArXiv
Electronic archive and distribution server for full-text research papers in physics, computer science, mathematics, and other scientific fields.

This multi-disciplinary database is an excellent starting point for finding scholarly journal articles and popular magazine articles on a wide range of topics.
Information Science: Gale OneFile [GALE]
Scholarly journals and trade publications for information professionals and other knowledge workers.

The database offers coverage of topics including information infrastructure, metadata architecture, publishing, and more.
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts [EBSCO]
Citations for journals, books, and proceedings on subjects such as librarianship, online information retrieval, and information management.

Research Tips

Use Google Scholar to search for articles that may not be in the library's databases. Google Scholar searches nearly all publisher websites.

Note: If you find yourself being prompted to purchase an article, instead request the article through Interlibrary Loan (see instructions from the "Get Full Text of Articles" page.

If the full text of an article is not available in the database, here are tips for getting it elsewhere:

In the databases, click to see if the full text is:
- in another database,
- in Geisel Library's collection,
- or if you can request a copy via Interlibrary Loan.
Search the journal's name in Journal Finder to see if we have access to the year/volume/issue you need.
