In groups, evaluate the resource you’ve been assigned and add your answer to these questions:
- What is it, e.g. newspaper/magazine/journal article, book chapter, book, website, etc.?
- Do you think it is a reliable source? Explain your answer, why or why not. Consider:
- Where does the information come from and how do you know where it's from?
- Who is the author and what is their profession/area of expertise?
- Why do you the think this information was published? What is it's purpose?
- How is this source helpful or not helpful to your research?
