Research Guide for CareCards Organizations (2023-2024 school year)

CareCards September

Join Us on September 25

The library is hosting card-making nights to brighten people’s lives near and far. We have selected organizations that accept donations of cards, and will be sending the cards that are created to them throughout the year.

September 25, 2024

4:30p - 6:30p (drop by anytime)

The organization we have selected for September is Overcomers Refugee Services.

"Most refugees arrive with no belongings, don’t speak the language, don’t understand the culture, and they have lived with dislocation, terrible loss and fear for years.

In addition to offering a broad and continuing array of basic support services, Overcomers works with the refugee community to facilitate conciliation and healing and to build comfort with their new culture. We support and advocate for refugees in crisis. We create connection between new arrivals and the New Hampshire receiving community" (Overcomers Refugee Services).

Materials to make cards will be available in the library.

Community members are also welcome to make cards at home and drop them off at the library!
