Due to copyright law and database license restrictions, faculty should not upload full-text articles into Canvas that were downloaded from Geisel Library's research databases.
Instead, faculty should link to those database articles directly from their Canvas course pages.
NOTE: If you copy a database link from your Internet browser into Canvas, that link will most likely stop working by the next day. To remedy this shortcoming, most database companies now offer persistent links for each of their articles and citations. Persistent links are stable URLs that will consistently take students to a particular full-text article or a citation in a research database.
Many databases automatically provide persistent links that incorporate the proxy server information; if they do not, you will need to add the following proxy information in front of the URL as follows:
