SciFinder-n: Get Full Text

SciFinder and Full Text

Get Full-Text of Articles

If the full text of an article is not available in the database, here are tips for getting it elsewhere:

  • In the databases, click   to see if the full text is:
    • in another database
    • in Geisel Library's collection
    • or if you can request a copy via Interlibrary Loan.
  • Search the journal's name in Journal Finder to see if we have access to the year/volume/issue you need.
  • For more help, ask a librarian or see the FAQ on finding full text:

SciFinder-n: Finding Full Text

  1. Look for a Full Text button in your search results or in an article record after the abstract.
    1. In some article records, you may see a View PDF button as well that will bring you straight to the full text.

    2. In some article records, you may see a View Source button that brings you to the publisher's page for an article, but we may not have access. If that's the case, go back to the Full Text button and continue through this list of steps.

  2. From the Full Text drop-down, select Geisel WebBridge to check if we have access to the article.

  3. A WebBridge panel will open in a new tab.

    1. If we have access to the article in another database, there should be a link to that other database.

    2. If we don't have access to it online, there will be an option to request the article through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Click that link to log into your ILL account and request the article.
