Newspapers: New Hampshire

Use the Journal Finder search engine to access current NH newspapers available at Geisel.

Accessing most historical NH newspapers requires a visit to the local town library or the NH State Library. However, a few towns have digitized their local newspapers.

On this page you'll find links to NH newspapers that have been digitized and made available by town libraries or are available through Geisel's database subscriptions.

NH Newspaper Project

Completed in the early 1990s the NH Newspaper Project undertook to microfilm newspapers published in NH which were deemed critical for preservation based on the physical condition of the paper. This work was completed with a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the United States Newspaper Project.

You may access Newspapers from this list by visiting the NH State Library in Concord, NH in person, or contacting the NHSL Reference Desk at 603-271-2144.
