Welcome

This guide will introduce you to the best resources for conducting literature searches in the Biological Sciences, both in the library and online.

If you need in-depth assistance or have questions about any of the resources mentioned in the guide, please contact Nancy "Sam" Urtz, the liaison librarian for the Biology department.

Featured Title - Birds of North America Online (BNA)

BNA Online is produced by the Cornell (University) Lab of Ornithology and is continually updated.  Through detailed articles as well as high resolution image and video galleries, BNA describes behaviors such as breeding, habitat, nests, migration and food habits for over 700 birds native to North America.  In addition, each online species is accompanied by recordings of that bird’s songs and calls.  Bibliographies are also included.
